AOLPress - Background and Font Colours
Background Colour
Right click somewhere in the new page and the page attribute dialog will open ( also accessible by selecting Format > Page Attributes). In the top section "Background" and to the right of the colour box click Pick and the colour palette will open - click on the colour of your choice then click OK.

You should now see that the colour box has a HEX value in it representing the colour you chose. Click Ok in the page attributes dialog and your page will change to your selection.

Font and Link Colours
While we are at the Page Attributes Dialog now would be a good time to show how to insert background, change the page text colour, and the link colours. Text and link colour changes are made in exactly the same way as background colour change.

Now were are happy with the colour scheme lets put some text into the page - just type it in as if you are using a word processor. I'm just going to paste some of this page in.
Inserting a Background
Open the Page Attributes dialog and you will notice that just below the Background Color box is one marked Image.

To insert your backgroud: click on browse and search for the file you are going to use as your background and remember keep the background files small, then click OK and thats your background inserted - the background to this page is only 2KB - large graphics take ages to download.
