Getting started

First open AOLPress, once it has opened select File> New> New Page.

You will now be presented with a completely blank page.

By default AOLPress will save your page as C:\AOLPRESS\Page1.html or page2, page3 etc. Below the Location box is the Title box with the message "Please title this page". Insert your page title here use a title that will reflect the content of your page I'm calling this "First Page" note: this title will be in the head section of the document and so will not be visible on the page as such, see HTML Tags pages on this site. The title should reflect you page's content however just give it a title for now you can always change it for something more suitable later.

Now the choice is yours as to what you do next, you could change the page colour, add a background to your page, type your content and then add images and/or buttons or you could use a table for your page layout. Whichever option you choose there is a help page should you need it, just select the required option from the menu at the top of the page, the menu is available from all the pages within this AOLPress help section.
