What is WYSIWYG: Define what WYSIWYG is and introduce the ease off use concept.

Before WYSIWYG: Brief description of difficulty of command and control i.e. CLI only. Brief description of applications - modes having to switch between edit and view to see document and even then end result unpredictable.

WYSIWYG and the Graphical User Interface (GUI): Introduce GUI and the work done at Xerox PARC, - mention Xerox Alto and Star and Steve Jobs - Apple Lisa and Mac.

What is Bitmapping?: Explain bitmapping

WYSIWYG Software: Discuss software - Bravo, Gypsy, BravoX

Conclusion: WYSIWYG opened up computing for the masses, revolutionised the way in which publishing is done. The work at Xerox PARC led to many of the operating systems around today.
