Introduction:

Introduce APRANET and the problems of expansion caused by NCP and introduce TCP/IP as the replacement protocol.

Development of TCP/IP:

Introduce Vinton Cerf and Bob Cahn's work on Transmission-Control Protocol.
Talk about the TCP split into TCP/IP.
Mention RFC'c and link to supporting page
Discuss OSI model vs TCP/IP - Link to supporting page for OSI model - TCP/IP gets dealt with in next section anyway.

How TCP/IP Works:

Use tables for TCP/IP model and stack structures.
Explain what each layer is responsible for.
Explain how each layer interacts with adjacent layers mention headers for each layer.
Mention Subnets and link to supporting page
Data packaging - More detailed on the process of layers adding/stripping header.

Conclusion:

Why TCP/IP was adopted
TCP/IP de-facto standard
Simplicity and Robustness better than OSI
